On May 18, 2021, the well-known legal magazine China Business Law Journal announced the list of China Business Law Awards 2021. Based on its excellent professional strength and outstanding industry reputation, Tahota won the Notable Achievers award and the Pro-bono award. In addition, Tahota was also granted with the award for Asset Management and the award for Real Estate & REITs for its excellent performance in these two fields.

Our Lawyers Successfully Handled Administrative Protection Case of Copyright Infringement of Tencent-Nintendo Switch Game Consoles
The Japanese company Nintendo is a world famous electronics game company and its Switch game console is very popular among consumers around the world. It ranked top in the list of Time’s Top 10 Gadgets of 2017 and was selected as the 10 Best Gadgets of the 2010s. With classic games such as “Super Mario” and “The Legend of Zelda”, it enjoys a high reputation in the whole world. Nintendo has authorized Tencent to exclusively sell Switch game consoles in mainland China, and Tencent has the exclusive authorization for Switch system software as well as Switch games and acts as the copyright holder of Switch system software and Switch game software. The Chinese version of Switch was officially launched in December 2019.

Advisory Panel for CCPIT as UNCITRAL Observer was formally established and the list of experts was released on December 22, 2020. Lawyer Jia Shengnan of Tahota Beijing Office was selected as one of the eight experts in the Sixth Working Group of UNCITRAL: the Group of Ship Judicial Auction. In the future, he will participate in the topic tracking, thematic study, discussion in the meeting and text design carried out by the CCPIT under the organization of UNCITRAL.
